Among the first generation of landscape architects in Southern California, Ralph Cornell was indisputably the most influential. His wide scope of projects included college campus master plans, city parks, memorial parks, significant residential commissions, and sculpture gardens. Brian Tichenor, renowned architect, university lecturer, and coauthor of Outside In from the Vendome Press, will discuss Cornell’s life and milieu while examining three of his highly significant landscape designs.

This event, presented in collaboration with the California Garden and Landscape History Society, is free to the public, and will be held in Rothenberg Hall.
